I've gone to a meeting on bringing dog parks to your area. A lot of the funding for these parks can come from grants provided by pet food or pet supplies companies. As a non-profit business, the Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation should be able to acquire some of the opportunities for funding. One of the requirements is the companies that supply the funding and equipment get to post their logo and information on a few things. Many areas have used these funding opportunities and it's provided them with great dog parks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion, would love to hear more if you think of anything else!
ReplyDeleteYes to a dog park in Harrisonburg!!! Been trying to get one at Massanutten but it's been put on the back burner apparently. However, you can let dogs run off leash in the park at Massanutten (just FYI).
